Design and Implementation of Special-Purpose Computer for Incoherent Digital Holography

We designed and implemented a special-purpose computer for incoherent color digital holography application in three-dimensional (3D) microscopy. focused on multiwavelength-multiplexed phase-shifting as method acquiring 3D color-reconstructed images. This records holograms faster than conventional temporal division methods. However, the reconstruction calculation of this requires significant amount time, similar to method. Therefore, we circuit high-speed image reconstruction. Fresnel diffraction that repetitive calculations obtain but incurs high cost. field-programmable gate array (FPGA) successfully calculated reconstructed images were same quality those by central processing unit (CPU) personal (PC). The time was approximately 2.6 times CPU.
